Jacqueline started volunteering at a young age with the Royal Air Force Air Cadets. She volunteered at Commonwealth Games, Olympic Games, UEFA Championships and European Championships (she was there when Adam Peaty set a new world record), World Pipe Band Championships, amongst other events.

Within the local community Jacqueline has served on the Executive Board for Castlemilk Childcare (now Indigo), Ardenglen Housing Association and Castlemilk Family Day. She completed SVQ Governance of Scottish Housing Associations and also achieved Member status with the Chartered Institute of Housing Management.

Jacqueline says about volunteering "the most rewarding part of volunteering is meeting people and supporting them to achieve their goals. I get far more from volunteering than I give".
