Our Chair - Liz McKenzie

Liz joined the Association’s Board in 2008. She has held the position of Chair since 2020. Liz previously spent a number of years on the Board of Netherholm/Thenew Housing Association. Liz has a bachelor of arts and diploma in social work and is a qualified Social Worker with a particular interest in Social Care, Housing Finance, Human Resources and Customer Service. She has experience in working with children and adults with disabilities.She previously served on Castlemilk Community Housing Association CChA (GHA) Board, and was the first chair of the Domestic Violence group in Castlemilk.

Liz was also on the law Centre’s Board of Management and served time as Chair of St Margaret Mary Secondary School Board. Liz has been a community activist for a number of years, and was part of Churches Together group that welcomed the first refugees to Scotland whilst also being an active member of Church Action on Poverty, campaigning to eradicate loan sharks. Liz also has an HNC in psychology, sociology, philosophy and is committed to improving her skills and expertise and regularly attends training and conferences.
