Board Member - Alex Warren

Alex joined the Board in 2018. He is Director of Strategic Development at the Wise Group.  The Wise Group is one of Scotland’s biggest social enterprises, delivering a wide range of programmes aimed at improving people’s lives and delivering real social impact. 

Employed with the Wise Group for over 14 years and is fiercely passionate about the work that they do. Responsible for the leadership, direction and management of all strategic business development, in order to provide the foundation for the sustainable delivery of social impact and growth across the business. This ranges from the development of new value propositions, through to the development of strategic partnerships with key stakeholders. 

 A passion for social justice, having spent much of his career focusing on devising and delivering programmes that deliver social impact. Has extensive networks within the local and national government, as well as the housing sector and a strong network within Glasgow (based past 19 years). 

Great understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced by RSLs, having worked extensively with many within the central belt of Scotland in order to add value to what they do.  An acute understanding of the challenges faced by those in or on the fringes of poverty and he is committed to playing his part in delivering real social change and enterprise.
